You throttling of Usenet is excessive and I'll be leaving because of it. You are the worst, lying ISP I ever joined, nonsense the EXTENT of your "prioritizing" and throttling is made clear before signing up, you keep telling yourselves that.
I could just route my traffic through other networks so you didn't know it was usenet and couldn't throttle it, but I can't be bothered I thought NTL was NTHELL but you guys make them look like the A team.
How's that for feedback? Why don't you record your sales calls? Do your sales people lie all the time? I was lied to, wanna call it libel because I can't prove it? Who is typing at this keyboard right now? WHY DON'T YOU RECORD SALES CALLS YOU SCAMMERS.

Quote Your telephone sales advisor told me I would be throttled not charged over-usage fees if I went over limit, that was a complete lie,
You can choose to have extra usage added on or your service restricted once the usage allowance on your account is reached, this can be altered by using the Manage My Usage tool on our website.

We give very detailed information about the traffic management on our accounts, this is linked through the FAQs available during the signup process. You can find them here: https://www.plus.net/support/broadband/speed_guide/download_speeds.shtml#extraSpeeds

I think we do record calls, however I'm not sure for exactly how long for.
In a nutshell I'm sorry that you think we scammed you and if you like we'll see if there is anything we can do to help you stay as a customer?

Quote what right do you have to limit me to 16 measly kb/sec which you make look so much better by quoting bits not bytes on your chart
We do have an account that doesn't have the traffic management of the others, this is Plusnet Pro and the information about it can be found here: http://www.plus.net/residential/broadband/pro.shtml ; - it's worth noting that as there are no speed restrictions on this account the usage allowance is 20GB rather than the 60GB on Extra.

I only found the charts about your usage limits by looking on the forums. I don't know right now if there is anything that would make me consider staying a plusnet customer, less ridiculous throttling on usenet but you will just pull out the ol' 1% of users using.... line while all the kids on youtube probably transfer just as much b/w and there's lots of kids on youtube i'm not a 24/7 usenetter.
Find the recording of the sales call and do what you said you would do when I signed up? That would make me stay, other than that buy some more bandwidth and stop taking on debt to avoid paying taxes or whatever the reason is you don't have enough bandwidth? Like, enough bandwidth to supply the 60 GB at 8Mbps advertised not the 2.4MBPs always throttled by something or another that customers actually get?
Be more honest and up front? You're honest and up front on the forum, and it's the only good thing I have to say about plus.net. Why not some pre-sales honesty on the phone that would be good.

Quote Your telephone operative told me you don't record sales calls, now you are saying you do, so I can only assume if that's true, then THAT telephone operator was also lying because he didn't want to be bound by the lies I was told up in the "sign up process" which consisted of me talking to a sales guy on the phone who gave false information and not some magical detailed sign up process you are referring to.
Due to it being a sales call we don't have anything accountable to let us know who advised that, I'm sorry you were advised incorrectly. It's certainly not deliberate, we'd have nothing to gain but a bad reputation by being dishonest with you. I will feed back to our sales teams that calls are indeed recorded. However as your call was made several month's back we may no longer have a recording of it to reference to.

The vast majority of ISPs use traffic shaping, I would always advise checking what policies are in place before choosing the right package for you. We do provide information about our traffic policies in the FAQs that link from our sales information so we are open about it.

As Chris mentioned
We would recommend that as the best way forward. We can't offer our service offerings for individual customers I'm afraid, however we can look to provide you with a goodwill gesture if you are looking to leave.

re the sales call itself as mentioned as it was several months back we probably won't have a recording of this now.

We do owe you an apology here and please don't take this as a 'dig' at yourself (that's the last thing we'd want to do right now) but we are in a better position to deal with issues like this if they are raised to us as and when they happen as it helps us to help you.

A lot of people have tried that and failed - Plusnet's systems are a LOT smarter than that.
I always get over 550KBps (bytes per second) on my PAYG account 24x7 - this account is no longer sold but it gets the exact same priorities as Pro.

After 14 days ,I receive 0.25Mb.
I received an e-mail from plusnet telling me they had checked the line and i should get 5Mb, but was only receiving 0.25Mb.
I went on the Bt ADSL checker and it seems that BT say the max I will receive is 2MB.
So what 'checks' were done?
Were these figures arrived by throwing a dice?
If I were to sell something by knowingly making false claims, that would be deception.
I think sales staff are simply that, sales staff, with no interest in customer satisfaction, leaving problems caused by these exaggerated claims to be fielded by support staff.
Not everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet.

As stated in your other posts, it looks like you have a line fault. Which would have caused issues which ever provider you had chosen.

if you stop cross posting your problem all over the place, with snatches and symptoms of your problem, it makes it difficult for people to help you, this is the third one tonight
