Is there a problem with Auto Login?

So, having done that, I go to 'Auto Login' and set it up for 1 year. The system then confirms that it has done that.
But, the next time I try to access the above I am asked to login!!!
Is there a problem?

It is controlled by cookies - have you set your browser to remove them when closing

I have noticed, though, that if I've logged in on another PC/device the setting appears to get turned off.
