Forget it, even if my line went live now with 1million Meg up and down, I wouldn't want to be a plusnet customer, sorry but, this is a CATALOGUE OF ERRORS, just read through the let down after let down.
Case closed, now Im left £240 down, on top of xmas, so I gotta explain to my children, why they wont do too well for Xmas this year, because of the 'good, honest' people from Yorkshire called MINUSNET
Thanks loads

Hi Jonny,
Whilst I appreciate you are frustrated (and understandably so); I would suggest letting PN follow through & get this fully resolved for you. From what I have read here; it sounds as if the problem is with the connection from your house to the exchange. Thus should you go elsewhere you will likely encounter the same problems. By all means cancel the contract with PN; but do so after the fault has been resolved - otherwise you will be back to square one and have to go through the whole fault-finding process from the beginning.

At least with Plusnet you have a means of communication that is understandable. I switched to Plusnet from Orange after experiencing total ineptitude at their foreign callcentre who couldn't even understand the problem I was describing - and I couldn't understand them either.

i have had a long running speed issue which PN is aware off. however, I cannot fault their CS team in anyway. they have been effecient communicative and polite in all circumstances and I know they will get it sorted (6 months). It is like all things with BT, they deny all culpability even when it is staring them in the face. PN are only the supplier of the service as is any other ISP, so if you quit now all you are doing is starting the whole process again and believe me the next ISP may not be as thorough as PN. Having read the thread through it is clear that they are giving requests to BT which are not being out expediently and for this PN cannot be held responsible. I appreciate you have spent money but Adam has assured you that you will be compensated, so why not calm down and let PN do their job in the professional manner they always do.

Yes they can, the OP is a customer of PN and it is PN who is supplying the product or service. Just because they are a reseller as such does not mean it is not their fault or their problem because it 100% is!
Saying that i cannot fault PN one little bit, great customer service, no problems with my set-up or connection!

I think in a way both both of you are right. BT are responsible for actually curing the error for their customer PN, whilst PN are responsible for ensuring that BT actually carries out any necessary work to PN's customer's best interests.

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.
