Try pinging ntp.plus.net from a Cmd prompt and see what results you get.
You really need to get the corded phone to check out that potential issue!

Download speed: 7.51Mbps
Upload speed: 0.87Mbps
Ping: 38.25 ms
Further Diagnostics:
IP Profile for your line is - 7.06 Mbps
I did notice there's been a resync from the upload time. All was well until I had the upload uncapped.Interleaving was on but it just came off again a few days ago.
I was told uncapping upload takes speed off the download side but others say it doesn't...which is right ?
Ping in command prompt result: 0% loss and 23ms average

Direct answer - don't know
However, there is a definite correlation between the movements of upload/download speeds on my line: The last change saw an upload increase of 50-60k and a download decrease of 100k
Using a TP-Link Archer VR600 modem-router.

I'd still like the upload speed uncap undone.Wondering if I should get an SNR reset too while I'm at it...not happy losing 1Mbps off my download speed.

IIRC when the unload uncap activates there could be a resync. Line conditions at the time will decide on the sync speed.
I wouldn't pay too much attention to the ping result from the BT Speedtester. The ping from the Cmd prompt implies that Interleaving is off - consistent with the stats.
Judging by the last stats that you posted, and the time of posting, the last resync probably occurred at around 6.00pm. It's possible that noise conditions on your line has increased because of the onset of dusk and this has given a slower sync speed. If you still have a 6dB Target then a Daytime resync (using the Disconnect method) will improve the sync speed. But if the Target has gone to 9dB you'll probably get slightly slower.
You want to stop worrying about your Uncapped upstream and concentrate on getting a corded phone. I said at the outset that your line appeared to be under-performing for some reason.
A DCT member will be able to advise on the current Target. And if you do have a line fault you will not be able to get a fault raised whilst a line is in training!

Uncapping the upstream should not be effecting your downstream.
Your target profile is currently set to 9dB which will be the reason behind lower downstream speeds.
This may be due to the disconnections on your line, have these been caused by you?

You mention the SNR Margin....which stat do you look at ?...the SNR up or down ?...or an average of the two ?
Just checked again and it's: SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 5,7 / 8,3
I did wonder if a shut down and reboot of the router might help.
I definitely will get a corded phone to check for line noise.

I think I'm banging my head against a wall here.
There's a bit of a pattern there with the disconnects. Is there any BT Openreach work going on at your Cabinet for example, or do those times coincide with anything eg. Central heating coming on?
Until you check you line, you do not know what might be going on. If you were to just raise a Broadband fault, then unless there was an obvious failure on the CIDT copper test, then the likely outcome would be, they'd suggest turning on Interleaving to try stabilising things, and the Raising of the Target SNRM is standard Exchange DLM behaviour to stabilise a dropping connection. Every rise in Target SNRM will lose you sync speed.

Not sure if those disconnects are me doing that....but I did gateway hop twice this morning and over the last number of days...since last weekend a week ago really.

My SN target is now 9dB I found out yesterday...but it hasn't seemed to have helped. The errors are worse if anything, even when interleaving was on after it got set to 9dB, and my download speed is over 1Mbps slower.
Everything was better when my target was 6dB....my browsing was noticeably faster and my file downloading was faster too, even with the error rates being as high as they were.
Can I get the SN target put back to 6dB ?
