When James reads this perhaps he could confirm (or not) other than at 1236 today, did BT reset the Target SNRM?
After monitoring the line for a while, if error rate and noise variation OK, reboot with DMT if the target at switch on was not 6dB, otherwise just keep.monitoring, and keep checking your phone line.

I intended to switch the router off overnight and I have been thinking about the second time the SNRM reset to 6dB and I don't think it was BT as whenever in the past they have reset it I've always been advised by CSC and not this time, again Chris thanks for your help and guidance and will let you know tomorrow what happens, regards, Jack.

do you recall what the sync speed was just after the 2130 event?
Looking at the later DMT snapshot, it seems like there may have been some broad spectrum noise covering the LW to lower MW frequency bands. This could have been on your phone line, or picked up locally. If not a dicky external joint, then maybe interference from something like an immersion thermostat taking a second or two to break or a nearby street light or fluorescent/energy saver light re-striking or switching on.
I've been giving the "re-sync" with DMT for a 6dB target some further thought - If when you switch on the target isn't 6dB, I'd leave a resync until about 1830 especially if you are using your Voyager.

Sorry can't remember the Sync Speed after 21.30 reset.
Have connected the Netgear and synced at 6624 kbps and SNRM 8.9dB'
DMT appears to have problems, will look into this later.
As you recommend I'll leave it running and see what happens for now.
Can't give any reason for interference except to say I doubt it was the phone, regards, Jack.

Which suggests *something* happened to move it back to 9dB.

Yesterday at 12.36 pm it went to 6dB and back to 9dB as described earlier, then last night at 21.30 it did the same thing , went back to 6dB and after a few mins. back to 9dB, thats all I can tell you I'm afraid, Jack.

something very odd going on here - we'll get to the bottom of it sooner or later! Can you confirm if BT did do a 2nd Target SNRM reset yesterday eveing? Obviously any other information you can see from your end may be helpful, any apparent drops, sync speeds etc.
What we seems to know is shortly before 2130 the sync speed was 7200? Something then happened, what was the sync speed immediately after? Was there any further loss of sync/connection before he switched off last night when sync was 5696?
@jac2285
DMT needs to be setup in debug mode for your Netgear DG834N. I'm no expert on that, I'll see if OldJim can help on that, and setting up RouterStats for the same. I'd rather if we can, stay with the Netgear to take any Voyager 2110 peculiarities out of the equation for the time being. Also the Netgear may hold on better at lower noise levels so we might stand a better chance of seeing what's happening over a longer period when we force the target down to 6dB.

The noise margin was reset to 6dB and was subsequently rereset to 9dB.
However, I can't see the times that these changes occurred.
On March 2nd, there were connection drops at: 1248, 1346, 1646, 2126 & 2204. Only two so far today @ 0109 & 0710.

I thought 0109 & 0710 today were likely to be when he switched off last night and switched on this morning, I'll wait for Jack to confirm.
What was the sync speed just before 2204 yesterday?

Re DMT for the Netgear DG834N
It uses the same version as for the DG834Gv4 so this should work
Enable debug mode in your router using this link http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?todo=debug which is for the DG834G v4
This should make it work but if it doesn't try replacing your ini file with this one link to ini file

Yesterday the drops at 12.48 & 22.04 were when it reset to 9dB so the first time it held for 12 mins and the second time about 30 mins the other drops were most likely me for some reason.Since I set up the Netgear this morning the only drop was me hitting a wrong button on the router stats causing it to reset.
I also have available a Speedtouch 546.v6 if this is more suitable, Jack.

Hi Chris, my typings too slow, yes this would be me closing down and opening up.
I looked at Oldjims post and think this may be beyond my limited ability.
