That's in keeping with PN's new cost cutting philosophy.
An example to us all.
My project is to move to VOIP so I can cancel my anytime phone option saving £5 (soon to be £6) per month and another £5 per month to mobile numbers.

To clarify this is just coming via email and customers will need to contact us if they wish to retain their phone, broadband and email services with Plusnet.
The original email address can be retained for a cost of £1.69 per month.

Adam can you please check again regarding the letter , i have just finished a call , with the agent checking with a supervisor./manager , saying everyone is getting a letter.
Once again it's as clear as mud

Currently I have phone line , a "madasafish.com" email account and a separate Justmail email domain. For what we use the landline for I'm happy to terminate the service but my biggest concern is the madasafish.com email account. I've just spent the best part of three months consolidating several other legacy email accounts into this one. What a waste of time that was.
As for the Justmail domain, is it possible to transfer this across to PN along with the webspace facility without going through the rigmarole of a nominet transfer form?

With regards to the Justmail domain I'm unsure of the exact process for transferring these over but I'll find out for you.

Me too.
I hadn't received any email from them about this, but I rang 0800 731 7508 and received a verbal assurance that my madasafish JustMail account (which is billed separately at £1.69 per month, and which I maintain in order to retain my domain name and webspace), will be unaffected by this closure on 15th December. I also received the following email as confirmation:
Quote This email is to confirm we will be keeping your account open after 15th December when we are closing down the mad as a fish service. The accounts we are closing are the ones with active phone/broadband subscriptions.
I would prefer that the domain name and web space facility be integrated into my PlusNet account, but this appears not to be an option.
