Re: Member Centre Login failed Webmail is down as is RSS Feed of Service Status

Just managed to get in. After entering the login details it just sat there with Connecting... for about 10 minutes - I just left it doing that in another browser tab. Suddenly it responded and now I'm in it's really fast.
I'd guess it's a problem on the database that holds the login details.

Do those having problems have VoIP/Broadband Phone enabled because we've just fixed a problem that was affecting these accounts?

No problems in getting into the main site or Community, but it took 10 minutes to access Webmail, and opening emails is taking 1-2 minutes. Getting timed out when changing Webmail folders occasionally.

Re: Member Centre Login failed Webmail is down as is RSS Feed of Service Status

I've got VoIP/Broadband Phone enabled and not having any problems logging into the Member Centre.
Voip control panel is ok too, although its not showing calls made on Jan 02.
Webmail is still down though!.

Re: Member Centre Login failed Webmail is down as is RSS Feed of Service Status

The problem seems to be getting worse. I'm in Webmail, but I've now been waiting 10mins to delete a couple of emails. The system is still effectively unusable, guys, please do something about this!

Re: Member Centre Login failed Webmail is down as is RSS Feed of Service Status

I can confirm the webmail problems..
old webmail logged in after about 5 mins,  but instantly timed out, so couldn't do anything with it.
new webmail took more than 10 minutes to log in,  and takes > 1 minute to respond to showing a message, deleting, etc.
I do NOT have VoIP/Broadband Phone enabled.
I would consider alternative access, but do not intend passing my login details in the clear from the outside.
The absence of SSL and/or TLS connections to the IMAP servers only leaves webmail,  and the (effective) absence of usable webmail is a Royal PITA!

Re: Member Centre Login failed Webmail is down as is RSS Feed of Service Status

Guys, we're aware of the Webmail problem and it's being looked into. The problem with the Member Centre (assuming it was related to the VoIP accounts) should be fixed though. Fax-2-Email is still down. If you're aware of anything else then let me though because aside from billing running a bit late, those are the main customer-facing problems we're aware of.
Edit: In light of the post here, please be mindful that the Webstats run is delayed too.

Latest Service Status announcement:
[quote author="Bob Pullen"]Access to Sheffield-based services/Data Centre Power Outage (69729) - UPDATE
This is an update to last night's post about the problems you may be experiencing following an outage at one of our data centres Monday afternoon/early Tuesday morning.
The maintenance work last night was successful however there are still problems affecting access to our Webmail and Fax-2-Email services. Today's webstats run is also delayed for those who have websites hosted on our servers.
Some customers may have had problems logging into our main website until around 9.30am this morning.
Our engineers are continuing to investigate the outstanding problems and we'll provide another update later today.
Please accept our apologies for the continued inconvenience.
