Re: Migration Query

Oh dear,
Its all gone downhill very quickly, I suggest whatever the 'exception' was that BT was supposed to of fixed.....they didn't.
You cant call this service broadband as I am at times crawling along at dial up speed and even worse I would be better off on dial up at times!
These are my router stats.....
ADSL Link                 Downstream          Upstream
Connection Speed 2561 kbps                448 kbps
Line Attenuation        56 db                        16.5 db
Noise Margin        7 db                        16 db
Profile of 2000....
Download speed tests are ranging from 200 to 1500.....and you can see them stop and start as the test takes place.....
Web browsing can take an age to load a webpage, cant even watch a 360p you tube clip, bbc iplayer says you haven't got enough bandwidth......and I have had around 6 disconnections already which didnt happen with my previous supplier......
I know I will be quoted the 10 day training period nonsense, but I know this has nothing to do with that, either my service is being throttled by plusnet or the problem BT found at the exchange they never bothered to fix and just put me on a sub standard part of the network anyway.....I know they don't like doing 'lifts and shifts' to fix problems for one or two people....
So after all the problems with the migration, I now have a dial up service, pathetic, I certainly will NOT be putting up with this garbage for 10 days, that I can assure you.....

Re: Migration Query

It seems you can't get a mac code without making a phone call to cancellations dept......
All these other forms of communication are available and I want my mac code emailed to me.......if you want to play silly games regarding the mac code then when I do get it I am much more likely to use it....the choice is yours.....
The ticket system just mentioned that the support team have replied but I cant see anything there?......in future if the support team want an answer from me they can ring me...two can play at that game!

Re: Migration Query

On the occasions when I am getting a reasonable download speed....say 1mb why does any download I do crawl long at dial up pace....and stop and start as the download completes?

Re: Migration Query

Before I migrated to plusnet I was getting approx 1600 download and 600 upload.....with plusnet up and down but average download is 600 ish and my upload a constant 300, why is that?...and why has my upload speed halved since being with you?
See screen shot attached...
What might give you a clue is that my migration was delayed by 2 days as BT found a dsl layer fault at the exchange........I suggest you start there!!!!!!
