New Happy Broadband Customer

I just successfully joined the router thinggy to the phone and my pc, and diddled about with the web, and lo and behold I am on line.  Fantastic instructions  - also I now can't get over being able to surf and take phone calls at the same time...  I shall have to go and lie down in a darkened room.  I can remember Wordplex and Dos - in my youf.

PS  why dont they have smilies with grey hair  - there's a challenge for someone.

Re: New Happy Broadband Customer

Like Gwasygog I am also pleased with the service from Plusnet.
We are a long way from the exchange and lucky to get half meg.
After a really bad start with BT broadband, connection problems and unable to speak to a native I pleaded to go back on dial-up.
My next attempt was with pipex and had 2 good years with them (call centre in Hertfordshire) before being switched to Tiscali without any consultaion.
Now arrived at Plusnet and so far like the look and feel of it, real people at the end of a phone and in the UK.
Hope the service continues as it is.

Do you think that Plusnet is like a best kept secret, if too many people find out how good it is and join the service may deteriorate !

Re: New Happy Broadband Customer

I've never seen them advertise relying on word of mouth in the main I think.  It's almost like a family Smiley  I've never failed to get advice on anything I've posted on the PN forums and in a language I can understand Grin  You may know they are owned by BT but seem to operate totally independently, and that can't be a bad thing Wink

somthing like that. of cause PN want loads of customers but they seem to take the approach of catching a few customers here and there but giving them a good exprince that they stay loyal.
Not like the t.v advert isp's where they sign a billion customers up in a day collect the money and forget about the customer untill there asking for there mac code then they just offer a few quid of your bill to stay not try and improve there network and cs the solo reason why the customer is leaving.
