New customer - £200 wasted today - not happy

Hi guys, just thought I would share my first experience of Plusnet with you
I ordered my fibre broadband about 2 weeks ago and was emailed saying an engineer would be coming to my home today to fit my fibre internet between 8am - 1pm
As of 1pm the engineer had still not arrived so I decided to get in touch with customer services. After a 50 minute wait I was told that the email I received was in fact incorrect and there would be no engineer calling out as they have changed the way they do things!
I have lost a full days wages today to make sure I was at home for the engineer calling
I also booked my 3 dogs into kennels for the day to make sure they were not a problem for the engineer
All in all today has been a total waste of time and cost me around £200 in total
Not a good start !
New customers beware

did you take the time off work as unpaid leave?
with regards to the kennel fees - well that's not something that anyone would every compensate you for. that was a decision you made.

Excellent link,
So anyone changing broadband provider should add that time is of the essence as part of the agreement with their new provider.

Welcome !
I'd love to say it will be alright once you get connected, but unfortunately experience says otherwise
