The green cabinet is less than 100m away. The engineer said he expected me to get between 20-30 Mbps and was slightly annoyed when I was leaping around when the result popped up.

Internet speed seems to be an odd thing to me these days.  You were estimated 20-30, and got an amazing 70+, I was estimated an amazing 55, and got only 35.

Those two statements are fairly obviously contradictory. I wonder what he based that on.

Absolutely right. I'm over 600 Ms from my cabinet & manage 45 Megs.

The engineer said that because my exchange is over 2 miles away I should expect the slow speed, but that defeats the object of FTTC surely
