Morning all,
Blown 4 pair of speakers up :'(, through adding 3 metre wire, so i could have them next to me. Well they dont blow up, they just dont work, and when reduced back to original wire length, still dead. Tried them on 3 pc's and dead. Been up and down that b----- ladder into the loft more times than i can count. There were another 4 up there with question marks on them, which turned out to be useless anyway, so i am sat here with 7 pair of dead speakers and a tangle of wires.
Went to bed , and half slumbering, suddenly came back to life, remembering i had some nearly new netto tv surround speakers in the loft which i bought a couple of years ago for a project which failed at the time. Out of bed at 3.30 am, up the loft again, about 6 speakers a vertical amplifier and about half a mile of tangled wires. : Thought well i can put the main speaker and amplifier where i sit [with 3 metre of added wire as before]. and i dont have to turn them on. If i turn them on the sound card might blow :-\, or even worse. A lot worse.
Typed American Radio in google and clicked on the first one and a list of radio station came up. :-\Clicked on something like ''country and western'' from Dallas or wherever, and it started playing. But of course ime not that daft, the speakers werent switched on.
Well go on then, if it all goes wrong i can blame Plusnet. I can spend Monday thinking of something.
Turned the volume knob on the amplifier right down and gently pressed the power button. Tammy winette [poor at spelling] was whispering a song. In for a penny in for a pound, took the bold decision to turn the volume up and --------- WONDERFUL like a rolls royce
Got to stay in today, my new router might come by special delivery.
All the best, and have a nice Monday Graham--===============

Heanorman, you'll need to raise a ticket to get that router sorted, even the mighty Comms have to be accountable
You will need to pay for it by card as well I'm afraid, as we can't take one-off payments by DD.

Are you all having a joke?? The modem is lousy and it don't worth £40 and the service you provide is not as exellent as it suppose to be. From AOL to plusnet might have been a complete change but trust me there are better services out there than this lousy service! P.s get net gear modem! might be cheaper!

Sorry about the problems you've been having, we'll pick up your thread and reply to any questions on there shortly.
The router does retail at around £40 from a quick google around, that's without our firmware and the easy setup facility we offer too.
