Silent line test done & it is silent. I haven't had to reboot the router (yet) & Plusnet are sending a replacement router presumably from doing the test Chris Pettit requested so maybe its all good

Yes, a replacement router has been sent as we believe that this is the cause of the fault.
Please let us know if this doesn't resolve the issue - it should be with you within the next couple of days.

Hi Chris the replacement router came today; thank you for organizing this so quickly. I've set the replacement up & it seems significantly better. Hopefully this can now be put to bed. Thanks again!
