Not happy about not being made aware about scheduled maintenance

To make this as blunt as I can, I'm not too happy about not being informed about scheduled network that might affect my connection and affect me directly considering my connection went down as I was in a battle on world of tanks and was wondering what the heck was going on when the KV-1 I was driving stopped dead in it's tracks along with a tank that was a few meters away on my left.
I thought something else had gone wrong since everything on the router was green across the board, and it was only after I attempted to reconnect to the WoT servers that the internet light went from green to red and every attempt to get the connection back on through the router failed because it thought I was requesting that the connection be stopped and it was only after I went to call to report the fault that I was told about the planned maintenance in an automated message which also provided instructions on how to get the connection back on if it didn't do it automatically (thankfully, it did work although the match I was in had long since ended in defeat for my team).
Maybe there should be a system in place to inform those who might be online during any scheduled maintenance so they don't have to panic like I had to do.
