Paragraph titles as images missing

@CRT,
Been looking at the SPAM management pages (whilst looking for something for a thread reply) here - http://portal.plus.net/support/security/spam/spam_protection_guide.shtml and note that the paragraph headers are images and are not loading...

Hi Chris,
Are you able to do "an external" connection simulation on this please?  I have retested on a different device from home and been out and tested the page over a 3G network.  They all fail the same.  Looking at one of the image URLs...

http://portal.plus.net/images/support/security/spam/spam/summary.png gives 404
http://portal.plus.net/images/support/security/spam/spam gives 404
http://portal.plus.net/images/support/security/spam gives 403

From this I conclude that the path .../spam/spam/ does not exist from the external world or there is an error in the URL generation in the external world.
I note that the path to the web page is simply .../security/spam/... and not .../security/spam/spam/... as used by the images.

I tried it here earlier and it was fine. I'll get a problem raised for further investigation.
Our problem incident management team have been mailed. Hopefully we'll have a problem ID soon.

Hmm looks like it might be a browser compatibility issue.  It also does not work with safari.
Which client platforms do PlusNET in-house test on?

I was going to say that I didn't think this was a browser issue...
Interestingly though, it works fine on Firefox and Chrome, but not in Opera and IE in the office.

There's a very similar problem within a SMF forum I'm involved with whereby some png files used for avatars won't display in IE11, although others do - it started after a software upgrade and has not been resolved yet - it's clearly more complicated than just something to do with the file type.

FYI this is very strange - of the two links Jay has extracted above, clicking the first (on my iPad so it is safari) gives me a 404 error still, whereas clicking the second delivers the image.
This is not a simple URL construction issue based on client browser behaviour.

@JayG,
Thank you for the links.  As to the other comment, there is a big difference between not displaying something and not being able to find something, which is what is happening here.  I have seen issues with .png files not displaying / not displaying properly due to the way they have been generated.
