I'm surprised - you must have just missed the mega-cockup. I think it was in 2006 that an 'engineer' accidentally trashed the live mail storage disk and lost all of the emails. A long tale of 'some' problems, then 'some emails lost' then 'working on recovering the lost emails' and finally an admission that the whole lot had gone for good. I believe the culpable 'engineer' went too.
