Plusnet IRC Server

Is there something wrong with it? I've not been able to log into it since 8am yesterday morning (21st). Just thought I'd ask in case I've missed any news about it being closed for maintenance/for good.

With the long holiday weekend I'd suggest calling, not sure how many staff will be active here to answer your question authoritively between now and Tuesday.

Calling would be no good, as it's part of PUG and not a supported service.
However saying that it's fine and I've been sat on it all day.

Are you using a PN connection?

Yes indeedy. I'm on other IRC servers too without having any trouble.
I can also ping usertools.plus.net without any problems, but for some reason, with IRC, the connection just times out.

I've jut flagged it within PUG to see  if there is any clues we can give - but it is Easter weekend

Historically there were many more such services.   Things like exchange checker;  BT service notices had their Genesis within PUG,  some of the more successful and of value to the Business have been subsumed (with agreement   )  into the Plusnet service.   Others languish in 'Limbo'  somewhere between the two of us.
Most recently PUG has continued development of the Product Comparison Tool with active support from Plusnet to keep it up to date and accurate.  E.g.  the Fibre product update was available from product launch - a splendid example of collaboration.
NOTE:  Such a complex tool will inevitably contain an inconsistency, so if you do spot a problem do let us know.
Some Tools, most notably the ill fated PUGIT ,  did not generate as much interest or 'Value Add' as the original set of expectations and has quietly 'gone to sleep' .  NOTE.  Pugit has been largely unmaintained for some time now,  so the data is not necessarily a reflection on the current state of any issues still in the table.
