Quote from: avatastic Assuming my PPP drop at 3am this morning was me being moved to the new network, I can confirm that my static IP block has remained with me, my firewall hasn't been reset, I've not been dumped on 40/2 from 40/10.
I do seem have been dumped on an ADSL2 profile of 21Mbps though.

Could be something up with the migration process that incorrectly resets the profile, which is why I highlighted it here also.

Quote from: avatastic Hijacked another 40Mb sync /21Mb profile forum thread and it got fixed.

I understand it's more of a data integrity issue. In isolated cases there are people on fibre whose accounts are flagged in the system as being on the incorrect provisioned profile i.e. ADSL. When orders complete it resets the line profile to the maximum achievable on ADSL. We've been looking into this, however it should only have an impact on those with static IPs at present.

Quote from: jelv Does traffic prioritisation still apply on the new network for people without static IPs?
Yep, traffic marking is still there as is prioritisation although it's implemented in a slightly different way.

The poster is suggesting that it is now more difficult to change their dynamic IP address on the "new network", than previously.
Is there any any reason why that might be the case ?

Yes. IPs are allocated to your local BT BRAS in small chunks and as BT map you to a single BRAS then you only have that selection to 'pick' from.

Quote from: jelv As more users are moved across will the range of IPs allocated to each BRAS increase?
Yes, the system which manages the IP pools will allocate another block once the current ones reach 90-something percent.
