Plusnet TV How much would you pay?

to be fair i dont see why the cant offer a service like sky or vision.... fair enought vision aint greate but what i mean is....
you can get movie channles ect  but pay extra
and yes there has been many of threads on this
and the last one i posted where i mentioned youview... all i was saying there is im suprised such a [Censored] robbing company such a TT can offer a tv package but pn still lack behind

According to poll the vast majority aren't interested and that's where my vote went.
With Freesat & Freeview + cheap boxes to use various internet catch-up services it doesn't look a  good area of business for PN.

I haven't paid for TV (apart from the stupid TV licence) for MANY MANY years now, since the death of <forget its name fore runner of freeview>, I used to pay for sky analogue but they kept cutting me off saying I was a pub, and it was costing silly money every month for less and less (like adding 3 new! channels for 3 hours a day and charging an extra £/month for it) I left and moved to ON-Digital (remembered the name now) and then to freeview and will not have/can't afford pay TV now.
I now have a freesat box that does iplayer etc, HD and a TV that does the same BUT personally I watch maybe 30min of LIVE TV a WEEK, SHMBO watches it all the time but I don't. When I watch TV it is mostly to watch pre-recorded stuff I want to see or have downloaded/rented.

I moved for a very short period from PN to talktalk so I could get the tv package.
I thought it was brilliant if I am honest... 7 day catch up for every channel.. plus numerous other apps, plus sky tv channels..  if talktalk didn't behave like they did, I would have stayed with then for the tv.
So yes, IF it ever happened, I would be first in the queue!

With new YouView boxes at a tad under £300 I can see the attraction of taking a subscription with a provider where the cost is spread out over a 2 year period.
I'm lucky to have YouView and happy with it not being tied to any provider. But I would consider it if there were many more HD channels made available with through PN as long as I didn't have to take a new box or get tied to a long contract. But it's not on my list of priorities and, quite honestly, won't be bothered if it never happens.

That's more to do with Talktalks customer service than the actual product I would suspect.

I think the actual question is really ambiguous. It's like saying "If I offered you a car, how much would you pay?" - What sort? What's in it? What functions? What are the conditions?  ... so in TV terms - what channels? which services? is it just a service or is there a PVR box - how big is the HDD?
There needs to be some kind of specifics, because if it's just going to be freeview channels and access to BBC iplayer, 4OD etc.etc. then why would I pay for that when it's already free and available on my current PVR / TV ?
If it had Sky1, movie channels, Disney channels etc. then I might be interested at £10 a month or so.

Maybe if you offered something else that the others didn't provide (Freetime from Freesat).  Then I might be interested.
