No worries.
Their address and/or landline number should be enough.
P.S. I think my reply here crossed with your reply here.

But again, I don't know, nor have ever known, the 'username'. And why the hell should I?
@It is quite possible you do know the user name but didn't realise it. Did he have a Plusnet email address? If so his user name is the first part after the @ - all Plusnet email addresses are in the format xxx@username.plus.com

Blu-tacked to the wall in my study, I have PN contact number, my username, and password, in the eventuality my sons need this information in the future.
(The password is partially coded, with a code we all use)
And they have the passwords to other web facilities.
Plus of course, there is paperwork for most in filing cabinets.

What I've done is to create a simple Excel worksheet with whom it is (so the company and what they do) what the username and password are. So for example PlusNet would come under "Parents ISP".
Actually I need to add them thinking about it
With so many places needing logons, with different usernames and passwords that is the way I manage it.

That's also what I did many moons ago, updated whenever I need a new site login.
200+ to date, and they are not all the same password.
I also printout the 4 A4 pages, the actual logins are coded.
Very useful, when I have to reload the web browsers for whatever reason !!

It is good, it is wise to have a plan for such things ... but many do not, but as many people never get around to writing wills. Whatever, when the crunch comes, it helps if the organisation can respond in a positive, helpful supportive way ... consistently.
Sadly whilst some of this is handled by flawed human beings, there are going to be times when the right thing does not happen, at the exact time it is essential that it should.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
