We do occasionally do special offers for existing customers, such as monthly discounts etc, but there's no permanently available deal.

Maybe a long term discount based on years would incentivise people to say with Plusnet & reward loyal customers on higher end Premium & legacy products.
Say 50p per year upto a Max of say £5 ?

Force9...
you dont ask for much @ 50p a year lol. (thats too cheap - raise the stakes)
Seriously, I`m new so I wouldnt qualify, but it does sound like a good suggestion & would be good
for business.
I`d suggest, after one year..... give customer 1 week free.
After 2 years - 2 weeks free.
After 3 years - 3 weeks free
and at 4 years (and in following years) 1 month free per year.
50p isnt likely to persuade anyone. Got to make it worthwhile.
You might say my idea sounds like alot, but is it any different to how so many supermarkets nowadays
make more and more `Buy One - get one free` offers ?
They`ve obviously got to be making big profits to start with - and when they make such offers then more
and more people buy - and that allows for the free giveaways.
So in PlusNet`s case, if it encouraged customers to stay.....
and encouraged more & more ppl to join (because no other ISP makes that sort of offer)
then it would pay for itself in the long term.
With so many ISPs nowadays all offering some form of `reduced rates` for first couple of months, plus
free router etc..... then maybe PlusNet need to get their own new individual sales tactic, and rewarding
loyalty sounds like a good way to go.
It would probably be a better idea than keep giving out free routers, whilst if ppl keep moving to another
ISP at the end of their Contract period, then no doubt they end up with a collection of unwanted routers.

Yes its is per month the 50p discount
I know the 50p sounds cheap but its just over 3% of £15.99 & in line with the usual cashback percentages. Rising to over 30% per month for the full £5 discount on the Premium package price.
Maybe a percentage scale would be better?
Say 3 to 5% discount per month after the first year rising to a max of around 30%.
That way you could include the "Value package" customers like pierre_pierre who've been on higher priced packages with Plusnet in the past.
Just throwing idea's into the ring for the PN staff to read which may also help churn targets ?.....

If you have been with Plusnet for a long time, doesn't that imply that you are satisfied with Plusnet?
"Better the devil you know, than the one you don't"
How can you possibly get better value than is available if you are on Plusnet Value at £5.99 for 10GB usage in Market 3?
I am and I am very happy...
