Plusnet should make a LARGE donation to Sport Relief

Sport Relief are very likely to miss out on a substantial number of donations from Plusnet mobile users because the numbers which will be pushed heavily on the night and in associated programs (see list here) will not work. Some people may realise and pay by other means but many will not. As often donations are often a spur of the moment thing, even if people realise it has failed they may not bother to try other means.

So how about it Plusnet - are you going to do the right thing?

Easy for you to say that as you're not a paying customer any more...

Re: Plusnet should make a LARGE donation to Sport Relief

@jelv

PN make it very clear on the legal bit of the mobile page prior to sign up:

Premium texts
  • Plusnet Mobile does not support premium or short code text services.

Customers should read the relevant information prior to sign up to determine if the service is suitable.

In my view PN offers a "no frills" sim only at a very competitive price.

Your question: short code text

We currently do not support this feature for business reasons, but it is under review for future development. You can find all the number's we do support and charges over at https://www.plus.net/help/legal/mobile-price-guide/.

As it is only a 30 days contract customer can quickly switch to another provider without any high early leaving fees. Or cancel within the first 14 days for a pro-rata refund.

As you say there are other ways to donate, personally I think you are making a "mountain out of a molehill" with this thread.

No surprise that @SpendLessTime gave thumbs for the OP, I think he/she/it does that for any post that is negative towards Plusnet.

There are more constructive ways to participate!

I just think Plusnet should enable short codes on mobiles. Plain and simple.

Fair comment mate, I understand that one, but the constant thumbs up for anything negative?
If I can spot it I'm sure others have.

Re: Plusnet should make a LARGE donation to Sport Relief

How is it that a non PN customer is allowed to promote competitors in their posts?

If there isn't a forum rule against it, there should be,

Can I see your evidence for such a sweeping statement?

I'm sure you have done your research and have the facts and figures to back that up.

Re: Plusnet should make a LARGE donation to Sport Relief

Plusnet staff do give up a lot of time for free to man a call centre for sport relief. That should cover a large donation?
