Re: Possible move from Tiscali to PN

Well my friend decided to call PN to discuss his options based on what had been said on this thread. To his amazement he was told cutover would be in the region of £70!!
Disappointed really as I'm pretty sure he would have migrated to PN based on the costs suggested here.
@MAND - Is there anything he can refer to should I convince him to try again ?

Re: Possible move from Tiscali to PN

I moved from Tiscali to PN and it cost me the postage for the free router which was £6.99 and of course the first monthly payment which in my Case was £11.99.  Don't know where your friend was quoted that price but suspect it's wrong!  Crazy

Hi stallan,
He's definitely been given the wrong information there. Sad
He can refer to the T+C's here which confirm an LLU transfer is free.
Do you know what the £70 was quoted for?

Hi Mand - No, it was just a brief conversation I had with him..  I'll forward him the details from the link and will probably speak to him over the easter weekend.  Thanks.

Re: Possible move from Tiscali to PN

Stallan, I was charged NOTHING to move from tiscali, however, 2 days ago an errot message appeared saying my line was inactive, upon phoning plusnet I was told I have to pay £50 for connection.
After I complained that my order had already been accepted with no charge, I was told the BT message was incorrect, and it will be looked into.
Thats as far as I got!!
So I dont know if plusnet will honour the 1st April connection date, or not!

Re: Possible move from Tiscali to PN

Hi torbayguy,
I've asked the team leader of our provisioning team to find out what's going on with your order. In one of our suppliers systems it's showing as rejected, and in the other it's not.
He should be in touch soon.
