Quote from: ejs What is that supposed to mean?
to cope with supplier demands - BTWholesale demanding that Plusnet increase the line rental they charge their end users?
the upgrade of our network - would that be Plusnet's network? what, line rental is to pay for more BNG gateways?
Seems like it's the standard procedure of stringing together any words that sound good but don't really mean anything.
It's even more ironic when you consider the "Market System" is OFCOM's way of making sure BT has a comfy Monopoly in many parts of the country.

Maybe this http://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/jul/16/bt-openreach-broadband-ofcom-review will make a difference.

Quote from: pwatson Perhaps there'll be a mass migration to Madasafish for £11.99 line rental (including Evening & Weekend calls) - An easy switch as it's a Plusnet brand!!!!!
Quote from: KevinG I am sure that the MAAF line rental price will not last, in fact I would guess that the whole Madasafish product and brand will be withdrawn shortly.
Beat me to it there Kevin, I suspect that will happen soon and they will be told if they don't like the prices, they can leave penalty free.
Quote from: I I think this is the first time PN has been as expensive for line rental as BT retail.
Of course now we know BT Retail are also raising prices, so that won't be the case.
Quote from: samnew But then again, how about I just cancel the DD?
Not a wise idea. Plusnet will pursue you for any monies owing and it might damage your credit rating.
Quote from: Webif
Quote from: kdhuk I personally can't help thinking that this is all to do with paying for BT Sports' Premier League and Euro contracts
Speaking of btsport
Don't forget - thats going up as well
Quote From 4th August the price of BT Sport from Plusnet on the Sky Digital Satellite Platform is changing to £9.99 a month for SD and £12.49 for HD, and will include BT Sport Europe, BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and BT Sport ESPN.
Not that I'm interested in BT Sport, see https://www.plus.net/info2/legal/price_guide.html#btSport
Don't worry chaps, we know it's a bit of a price leap, but we are chucking in all this other Sport stuff for free
Quote from: Matthew @Oldjim
Full details available here
https://www.plus.net/info2/legal/price_guide.html
Our call set up fee will increase from 15p to 16p per call
Geographic calls to 01, 02 and 03 numbers will increase to 10p per minute and mobile calls to 13p per minute
And when you follow that through to https://www.plus.net/home-broadband/tariffs/
Edit: must be LCD monitor/video card issue, OK on a different one.
Quote from: Oldjim in the past some customers have had offers when the line is with BT but with Origin and given the present clamp down on silly offers I think it is unlikely
You mean silly offers like these current deals
Quote from: vilefoxdemonofdoom But I don't have a mobile...
But I could change it to Limited support via land-line...
I see you made a speedy change there then - not
Quote from: Estragon The point is Mayfly that you aren't affected by the price rise until the end of your LRS term. At which point if you don't want to renew at the new price you don't have to.
I think you might be forgetting the Call and Call package price increases.

Overall am quite happy with my service but I called up to cancel and managed to get a one time offer of a waive of the increase (by a credit each month) and no re-contracting.
So am happy - I guess this is a "per customer" offer.

and been approached by talk talk.
when I joined plusnet this was a non advertising Sheffield based customer focused and loyalty rewarding company.
and now.........a big disappointment.
interestingly my bank has opened a loyalty account-the longer you are with them the more you benefit- really hope this gets rolled out into business as a whole, its about time.
come on plusnet find your roots and do something innovative again !!!!
