Re: Problem after problem

Thing is, i know 1 other person who is with plusnet, and they have problems all the time
I know 5 people with talk talk, and they have never had a problem
1 of my friends had nothing but trouble with AOL and SKY, Moved to TalkTalk with LLU and he now gets host in every online game etc
Ill prob be unlucky and get an even worse service, but that i chance im gonna have to take

And jelv you may wanna take that link and info out of your sig, because i just told the guy on the phone about it, and he said it isn't true? And will not honour that

Hopefully their equipment in the exchange is better than BT's, and not picking up radio 5 live lol

It's the line to your house, and more often than not extension wiring in the home, that picks up the interference.
None of that changes in a move to an LLU service.

I bypassed the extensions and bell wire etc and it was exactly the same..

Re: Problem after problem

The information in my signature is absolutely correct - all Plusnet contracts are now 10 days. However if you leave within 12 months of taking advantage of some things which Plusnet provide for free, you will have to pay the full cost of them. Those are initial setup £40 (£30 if you signed up before 1st January 2010), 4-port wireless router £40,1-port wireless router £20, House moves £65. If you cancel rather than migrate out using a MAC there is also Cessation fee £25

Broadband: Andrews & Arnold Home::1 (FTTC 80/20)
Line rental: Pulse 8 Home Line Rental (£14.40/month)
Mobile: iD mobile (£4/month)

Re: Problem after problem

He said your info was old 02/09 and would not honour it as i signed up in april 09 and i am in a 12 month contract (his exact words)
The £25 charge for moving to talk talk is crazy too..
Ill just have to bite the bullet and ride out my contract

Re: Problem after problem

Hi there,
Just to confirm, the only costs you'd need to pay if you left are:
Deferred Hardware - Wireless 4 port router £40.00
Deferred Setup £30.00
Cessation Charge £25.00
10 days notice period.
The cessation charge is only applied if your line is completely ceased or you move to a fully unbundled supplier.

Re: Problem after problem

Thats not what he told me mate..
£125 to cancel then £25 to move to talk talk
He even came on to the forums to read jelvs post, and said he wouldn't honour it as it was old info..
Just too much bother, ill just leave in april, and hopefully get some kind of reasonable stable speed while im waiting

Re: Problem after problem

Right, just canceled my talk talk contract, so hopefully you can reset my line in the next few days..
They even offered to pay £60 towards the cancelation, but with the bt contract, im still looking at over £100
So looks like you'll have to put up with my rants for a few more months

I'll give your line a check in the morning and see if I can place an SNR reset.

Re: Problem after problem

@skuffdj
Still can't place the SNR reset at the moment, checking the line status we see this:
Quote
Reason code: C - A CEASE is in progress and due to complete on the date below
Order complete date: 18-01-2010

It'll be showing as a cease due to the move to fully unbundled.
@pierre
I have spoken to the agent already.

Re: Problem after problem

@skuffdj
It's now showing as clear again, so I'll go place the SNR reset.
*edit*
I'll check again shortly, the clear status hasn't updated to the ordering system yet.
