Re: Problems...... again

Cordless phone with the base station right beside the router! What type of bulb is in the table lamp we can also see?
I know what I'd be trying first: get at least 2m between them and/or try a wired phone.
Saying it was OK at your old house is no answer. The signal strength on the new line is different so it may not be OK now.

It does matter if the router is still under guarantee, I am not paying £60 for an engineer to come out and tell me that the router is faulty. Both our phone and BB is with Plusnet, I have said what the situation with the line is in several conversations with PN, I have plugged a cordless phone straight into the test socket, I am not paying any large bills, I have reported the fault via the manner you stated, I know what problems a line fault will cause thank you. I had a line fault last year and had to endure all this before.

You are just not listening to us (or your phone line) are you? First, why do you think you should need to be "paying £60 for an engineer to come out and tell me that the router is faulty". It's a process of elimination in case you hadn't worked it out. Unless you've plugged a known good CORDED phone DIRECT (not via a filter) into the test socket and can hear the noise on the line then you haven't proved that it isn't one of the other items causing the problem, especially anything radiating any RF!
It's NOT Plusnet's fault. Openreach are responsible for the maintenance of your line, however Plusnet cannot get them to resolve the problem, nor can Openreach find and resolve the problem without YOU providing the  evidence for them to go looking outside of your premises.
But then, as you are such an expert - you "know what problems a line fault will cause thank you" and you know your router isn't faulty because it's under guarantee, you'll also know how difficult it is to track down intermittent faults, and how to help yourself in providing the necessary evidence, then why on earth are you bothering to post here for help? If you can't satisfy yourself it's a line fault - if the need arose Plusnet will loan you a router F.O.C, but in your field you probably know people who could loan you a router any way. If it was faulty, they'd replace it.
As you're such an expert, you'd best just get on with it. You obviously need help, but it's not technical help from us, so as far as that goes, I'm going to ignore your posts from now on.  I hope Plusnet have the patience to deal with you.

Re: Problems...... again

Do you mean like this corded phone that's next to the phone socket by any chance;

What you keep asking me to do has already been done, several times. So seen as you have nothing constructive to offer apart from babbling nonsense, why don't you just [Censored] off?
Thanks

Re: Problems...... again

Getting abusive when people are just responding to what you have posted is not needed!

I have plugged a cordless phone straight into the test socket,

The last photo of the corded phone is NOT the phone we can see in the previous photo sitting beside the router which is clearly a cordless phone.
If you don't want any of the very experienced users on here offering advise I have a very simple piece of advise for you - don't post on here in the first place!

Re: Problems...... again

jim:post This thread is going nowhere so until the OP actually opens a fault ticket to allow Plusnet to help this is locked.
After a fault ticket is opened either this thread can be unlocked or a new one started as needed mod:end
