I wasn't really using my connection much last night although SWMBO was checking mail on her iPhone until about 10.pm. Shortly after that I started streaming a movie using Sky Go on the XBox (that finished around Midnight).
Just checked my latency graph and the period during the game doesn't look too great ...

Edit: I'm on a Telehouse West gateway BTW (ptw), although my traffic's routed slightly unusually as I'm taking part in a closed technical trial at the moment.

Sorry about the delay in collating my info - too many balls in the air. Didn't have time to run any elaborate tests Monday evening, had other things SWMBO needed doing so wasn't using the Internet much but here's my experience for what it's worth (Sorry, forgot to run that first test again) - Copies of BBC Diagnostic tests attached.
pcl-ag02 (20CN)
1st BBCnorm.jpg is what I typically get when there is no congestion.
2nd BBC1942.jpg test was run at 1942, cmd prompt ping to bbc.co.uk was OK typical result
3rd BBC2022.jpg test was run at 2022, major slowdown but cmd prompt ping ok! but overall result bad
4th BBC2024.jpg repeat of previous to check consistency, still bad, but cmd prompt ping to bbc.co.uk was ok but overall result bad.
TBB speedtest at 2029 gave 0.9Mbps, a more typical result is about 6Mbps  - bad result.
TBB speedtest at 2030/31 gave 0.7Mbps yuk! however the BT Beta test gave speed ~6.2 but a ping of 2683ms - never had a figure anywhere near as bad.
What browsing I did, I noticed a slow down in page loading 2030-2100 ish.
5th BBC2300.jpg at 2300 almost back to normal.
