Re: Referral discount calculation changed yet again!

I had a look at yours earlier and definitely remember seeing some dates. They could have just been the phone ones though.
I'll have a check tomorrow on them both.
[edit]
Had a look and it looks like it's affecting all broadband products (and always has i think). But does work fine for phone. I've raised Problem 79189 for that one, but to set expectations it will be of a relatively low priority as it's more aesthetic that anything. Although it definitely has it's uses if you have a lot of referrals to see at a glance that they have all paid out. Thanks for pointing that one out.

Re: Referral discount calculation changed yet again!

The previous referrals on my account are now showing with a value where they were 0.0 previously, but the amounts are still incorrect.
I've received my bill notification today with £3.50 discount for referrals and it should be £5.50.
Is this any nearer to being sorted?

Re: Referral discount calculation changed yet again!

Kevin - I've replied to your PM, apologies for the delay there.
David - I suspect the following has happened that I mentioned earlier.
[quote=Scott Storey link=topic=119500.msg1059887#msg1059887 date=1389288886]
*snip*
The person you have referred will need to be billed first and then yourself. Worst case scenario it may be up to 2 months before some referrals show up going forward (e.g. If their billing date was 8th and yours was 7th they would need to be billed on 8th Feb and then yourself on 7th March)
Some will have been billed since the fix and before you have been billed, some after. I can double check your account Monday if you like to confirm, I'm currently working from home so can't.
All - Work has now started on the clean up for affected accounts.

Will the back-dated payments be forthcoming in due course as well?

I think that's probably what Scott was referring to in his reply to you above -

Re: Referral discount calculation changed yet again!

Yup, that's exactly what I meant.
Because of how our software release cycles work it's currently looking like early march when the refunds will go out.
Its a bit too early for definites though, but that is the deadline I'm working to.

Re: Referral discount calculation changed yet again!

I think you may have missed what has been referred to and have taken the dates out of context.
The initial fix has gone out which was the only one I gave a date for which I said would be mid - late Jan and it went out a couple weeks ago.
This is the first time any date has been given for the backdated payments.

Ah - I'm just a simple guy.
I don't consider a problem is fixed until it is fully fixed.
You lot obviously have a different definition for "fixed"

Re: Referral discount calculation changed yet again!

If the issue which causes incorrect payments is corrected then the fault is fixed.
Retrospectively dealing with the adjustments for incorrect payments isn't a fault and will never be 'fixed' - it is a task that at some stage will be 'completed'.

Re: Referral discount calculation changed yet again!

It's a cleanup, at least that's how we refer to it, and it'll be done before the problem is closed - though the cleanup and fix are being done separately, the problem isn't regarded as fixed until both are complete.

Re: Referral discount calculation changed yet again!

Kevin & David, just so you know I haven't forgotten about you!
I still fully intend to provide the information I promised, it has just turned into a very busy week! Although tomorrow and Friday I should have time to look.
Work still ongoing with refunding people and think we are there identifying everyone with missing paymemts. I just need to trawl through the data and confirm it is all correct.

Re: Referral discount calculation changed yet again!

Looks like things are starting to kick back in:

Plusnet Unlimited 20/11/10 28/02/14 N/A £0.75 31 £15.75 active
as I seem to be getting the expected discount this month; however it looks like there are 7 months to catch up on the "unlimited" pack with the last token still needing to update (or does this need to wait until my billing date at the weekend?)
