'Service back to Normal' - Would'nt you just know it!

No sooner posted a heartfelt, 'thank you PN' under Testimonials & it all falls over.  That will teach me.
After 4/5 weeks of shaky speeds and other probs, everything came together last week and for 3 days it was steady, reliable, low SNR and for me, good d/loads @ 3.3.
Yesterday I woke up from my dream and saw SNR 17 [was 6/7], IP 2,500 [was 3,500], d/load 2094 [was 3124].  My local exchange I note is on Red alert and PN is now showing me back to IP 2,500.
Where do I go from here, please?
BT speed results as:-
3/12/09 @ 8.20 pm.
Download speed achieved during the test was - 3029 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds  is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :4768 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 3500 Kbps
6/12/09 @ 6.10 pm.
Download speed achieved during the test was - 2092 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds  is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :3808 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2500 Kbps

Thought i would give you a reply as i dont like seeing threads where people ask for help or advice and it goes unheard, i think your speed looks alright for your profile although im no genius in this area,i see no problem here.Although it does look like things is going downhill for you slowly, maybe time for a new router?

@exporters, it changed overnight on the 6th, as a result of a slower sync event.
Your current sync will give you a 3000 profile, but it looks like you could get better. Do you notice any drops in connection? Are you connected in the master socket?

Re: 'Service back to Normal' - Would'nt you just know it!

I've been out all day!  Firstly, appreciate your sentiments Steve and comments - thank you.
Mand, I know Mondays must be busy but your reply/guidance much welcomed.  SNR back to 9 & on the Bt speedtest, IP is now shot to 40000, highest I've ever had:-
Download speed achieved during the test was - 2144 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :4768 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 4000 Kbps
So, for whatever reason, maybe I'm in with a chance.  PN is still showing line speed of 2,500 - will this catch up or can someone give it a nudge, please.  Thank you Mand.  Ian

Re: 'Service back to Normal' - Would'nt you just know it!

Mand, sorry - didn't answer your Q's.
I'm direct off the master socket, via a ADSL Nation interface plate [excellent product & reduced our speach noise on the 'phone].
I notice that I've been on three different gateways last evening/overnight, presume PN has been doing some work?
When profile PN &  BT profiles matched @ 3,500, that was when my speed improved very nicely, in the space of about 7 hrs.

You are welcome ian,i think it takes 3 days tops for your Plusnet profile to catch up again, keep an eye on this,3 dropouts through the night does not sound healthy though. Undecided
Can you post your router stat's and we can see how your router's behaving?

Hi exporters
When you say "reduced" do you mean there is still some noise on the voice side?

Mark, sorry to confuse - having fitted the Nation 'filtered master faceplate', it also cured an annoying crackle we had on the voice 'phone for about the last 2 yrs.  Crystal clear & clean now on 17070.

Re: 'Service back to Normal' - Would'nt you just know it!

Mark,
What will kick my present PN line speed of 2,500 up to the BTspeedtest IP of 4,000?
Also, my SNR @ 7.00am today was 17/18 and now it is back to 7- 8; just hope I don't get drop outs..

Chris, a star turn!  Thank you so much.
D/loads shot up to highest I've ever had, 3.6 nudging just under 4.  Even the BBC iplayer is showing green in all categories.
Well done PN - now if only it will stay somewhere within  these paramaeters .
