Before the page appeared?  Or until it completed?

Re: Slow Slow Portal

Effectively before the page appeared the clicking on the show my usage tab took 13.272 to load.
Closed Firefox to clear cache and tried again - only about 9 secs
Tried again after closing Firefox and restarting to clear cache - note Adblock Plus running https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=myconnection took about 28 secs to readable and 29.68 secs to complete loading

Re: Slow Slow Portal

Blimey, that's not good at all 😕
Did you notice if any particular elements were the cause of the slowdown, or was it just slow overall?

Re: Slow Slow Portal

Just slow overall - once it started showing something on the screen it finished fairly quickly

Re: Slow Slow Portal

Have you tried running Firebug yet?  it's an extension for Firefox and it will show you which files are taking a long time to turn up!

Re: Slow Slow Portal

Bring up the window, select net tab, enable it and reload the page.  That should do it.

Re: Slow Slow Portal

As you might expect it is quite fast at the moment.
As there doesn't seem to be a way to have Firebug auto start with logging I will need to clear the cache manually and then reload - will try at intervals and report back if I get any sensible results
OK problem solved version 1.4 has a simplified and horrible feature set also the earlier version doesn't work on FF 3.5.2. However opening the site in the same window works - I just need to remember not to open it in a new tab

Re: Slow Slow Portal

Kelly,
I haven't seen a really slow one since starting checking with Firebug - typical  Shocked
However one thing is showing up and it may be the underlying cause.
This is the time waiting for the initial response from Apache.
This is a typical result for https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=myconnection - see picture

Re: Slow Slow Portal

I'm seeing between 4-8seconds wait to get that page sent.  However, I just did replicate a 24second monster delay on that page!  I'm asking questions internally.

Re: Slow Slow Portal

Hi
  Hope you get an answer!!!
This was a hot topic at the time of the MAX DSL rollout and "Was on the list" ? of things to fix.
But it never has been "fixed" - it has always been very slow. (NOT a good advert for Plus Net)
On top of the current Diabolical DNS look up times I am experiencing again today (this week!)  internet use has become VERY frustrating.
