@pwatson,
Such a shame it should come to this. Hope all goes well with your new provider ... hope you'll keep contributing here.
I'll second that!. You've provided useful advice on these forums and your presence will be missed. Sad

Re: So long and thanks for all the fish...

I think the inference is that as they no longer have a vested interest here, why should they frequent these boards?
Understandable really as they'll probably be busy wherever they go, looking at the stats posted on tbb's blog today!

Re: So long and thanks for all the fish...

Thanks for the replies indicating that my time here has been useful Smiley
My migration is set for July 21st but I'm happy to stick around after that if I'm allowed.  It'll be good to see how things pan out over the next 12 months and you never know I may be back eating humble pie and claiming poverty  Wink

Re: So long and thanks for all the fish...

I too have jumped ship. Activation 23rd July
I'm sorry to go and I may very well regret my decision. But the way it seems PN is going does not sit comfortably with me ...
Cost is NOT the deciding factor: it's attitude, service and confidence.
I wish all who stay good luck!
Kind Regards to all

Cat some confusion here wrt your last statement.
According the the email we have to give notice that we are going to move in the next 30 days, OK
But what if we are in a current LRS and have no intention of moving NOW, but want the option to move when out LRS expires?
E.g. mine expires in Sept, but I have only till mid Aug to give notice, so if I phone now and say "I am planning on moving WHEN my LRS expires" does that count?
If not then it is detrimental to us on current LRS's.
I have no intention of LOOSING money by moving my phone before the LRS ends. But am unhappy with the price increases and WILL be moving then.

Re: So long and thanks for all the fish...

@pwatson good luck with your new ISP I have a feeling you have made the correct choice at the right time, something is happening with plusnet and not for the good  if i had somewhere else decent to go i would but the only other options available to me are BT themselves or Talk talk so it would be more like out of the frying pan into the fire, My contract isn't up until November so I will of course see how it all pans out by then,  I wish you luck    Smiley

Re: So long and thanks for all the fish...

My email said that if you are on contract you can leave without an early exit cost...so you don't have to wait

We hope you're happy with Plusnet's award-winning products and services, but if you do decide to leave because of these changes, we won't apply any early termination charges. All we ask is that you tell us within 30 days of getting this email and give us 14 days' notice.^ The changes will come into effect from 2nd September 2015, and you don't need to do a thing. You'll see the new charges on your first bill after that date.

I unfortunately have paid in advance and that will keep me a little longer, don't guess they will give me my money back.
Whatever happens always remember "We will do you

Just on this, Cat's out of the office today so it'll likely be tomorrow that you get an update.

Re: So long and thanks for all the fish...

It's been a long time since I've had any phone/broadband problem, and I'm happy to stay with PN for the moment, but
Recent developments suggest that if a fault occurs,it may be a hassle to report it, and/or it may not be dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
So, it all depends, if and when - once bitten and all that...
