Trouble-free Upgrade to Unlimited Fibre.

We upgraded to the Unlimited  Fibre package which went live on the 12th May.
Plugged in the router & away we went with no problems.
Our speeds have been consistently good at 38 / 15 to 18 with no dropouts or any other issues.
Despite the router being low down in an understairs cupboard which also contains a server, the Wi-Fi , when tested as we don't normally use it, seems reliable & gave speeds not far short of the ethernet speeds.
All-in-all very satisfied.

Re: Trouble-free Upgrade to Unlimited Fibre.

That's great and good to hear, it must be a completely different experience surfing etc with a shiny new fibre connection, can't wait till we get upgraded!
It is also great you came hear to share your positive experience with others, sadly as with any forum of this nature there are a lot of posts from not sop happy people for one reason or another, people are quick top complain but slow to praise when something is done well so it is refreshing to see and hopefully will go some way to levelling the field around here a little if others follow your example.

Re: Trouble-free Upgrade to Unlimited Fibre.

Yes, apart from a delay in getting our phone line installed to a new-build house in Sept 2014 which was due to the estate developer not installing the line from the BTOR junction box, which was totally beyond Plusnet's control, everything's been good.
We've not had to contact Plusnet about any issues, our old ADSL speed was within the promised figures & our connection was very stable so we've always been happy with our service.
Fibre makes a huge difference to the Sky box which can now download movies & catchup programmes in a few seconds.
Hope you get connected soon.

Re: Trouble-free Upgrade to Unlimited Fibre.

Hi delboy109, looks like the fibre upgrade went ahead today as planned (I hope) judging from the notes on the order.
If the Openreach website states the cab isn't accepting orders until tomorrow, this is likely because the initial capacity was taken up and that will be when they estimate (subject to change) to be able to increase the capacity for further orders/connections.
