@MisterW
Your email was sent on the 27th and is showing as 'received'. You can view the content of it at contactus.plus.net as a service notice.

I completely agree

Likewise.  You only have to look at what VOIP and hosting providers charge to see that PN can't afford to provide the services for free.  Market 1 aside, PN are pretty much the cheapest provider (at least they were for FTTC last time I looked) and they've clearly made a conscious decision to go for quantity rather than quality in the chase for customers.  Whether this was the right decision remains to be seen but I'm sure they've factored in the loss of the very small percentage of customers affected by these changes in their churn calculations...

Re: VoIP and Fax-2-Email Closure

I must admit - although this doesn't affect me (VOIP and Fax) - I am now starting to get a bit twitchy about web hosting and the associated email addresses

or 5.99 with sipgate, though you'd lose your number Sad

Losing the number would be annoying, but not a show stopper.

Apparently the FAQs will be updated shortly to remove the reference to credit being transferred.

That has happened!

Re: VoIP and Fax-2-Email Closure

I would like to see an easy option to get our credit back. I just credited my account at the weekend. it took 30 mins to get through to do so I don't want to have wasted an hour on this withing a week.
Can't work out what option to pick to create a relevant ticket.

Yep, unfortunately we had to remove that.

Now the hardest part will be getting my credit refunded from PN.
Which Option in ticket system should I pick to request VOIP refund as VOIP is obviously not listed and there is no accounts option to choose?

For those of you with credit more than £5, you do not need to contact us to get this refunded. We'll be doing this as part of the closure of the service.

Re: VoIP and Fax-2-Email Closure

And for those that have less than £5 and don't wish to donate it to charity?  Presumably if they top up their account to more than £5 now they'll get it all back when the service closes Wink

Re: VoIP and Fax-2-Email Closure

I think top-ups are off at the moment to stop this happening.
If you have under £5 and would like it returning, contact our support team and they can arrange it.

If you leave PN will the refund take place automatically even if less than £5?
As I will be paying more for my broadband service than I should be I have already requested and received my MAC so now started to explore my options and I would not have done this if VoIP was not being removed.
As I have a legacy package that include 120 minutes will I see an automatic reduction in my monthly payments when VoIP is removed?

No, you'd need to request that we refund it.
