Re: We'll do you proud.....wait, maybe not.

Yes, we should be able to do that. Having checked further it looks like we've since cancelled the line again due to a conversation you had with one of our provisioning agents on the 28th, however we can reactivate that (usually same day) and as it's been cancelled there'll be no active broadband on it, so we should be able to order broadband the next working day. No, a MAC wouldn't be needed if we went ahead with that.

Re: We'll do you proud.....wait, maybe not.

I know i had to make you cancel it because of the contract with the agency.
I'm trying to get permission for a new number (hopefully), then i'll contact you again and let's hope everything goes smoothly.

Re: We'll do you proud.....wait, maybe not.

@chiso seriously, save yourself a long term pain in the backside and just cancel and walk away, if you think what you just had to go through was bad just wait until they have you in contract and care even less.
Seriously just don't do it.
You don't need to take my word for it, take a look at real customer views on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/plusnet it got so bad for them they removed the ability for people to post on their wall, so people reverted to commenting on posts plusnet made instead.
Don't pay attention to the fan boys on this forum, just walk away.

That's not correct at all. We allow people to respond to posts we've made on Facebook, but not wall posts. We've never allowed direct posting on our wall.

That is simply not true Chris, and even if it was, even your posts about charity work get mobbed by angry customers the situation is so bad.

Re: We'll do you proud.....wait, maybe not.

It is true, I've been on the Digital Care team since we started the Plusnet page, addtionally I've just been right back to the first posts we made on there and there are comments on the articles we post but no direct wall posts.
Yes, we know the support situation at the moment needs improvement, it has improved significantly over the last week but we still have a long way to go before we get to where we want to be.

That makes no sense as I'm sure you understand.
Landlords do not allocate phone numbers, BT do, so they cannot put such a clause in their contract.

Chris - then someone has simply deleted the posts, plain and simple.
There are more references than I can count in your comments about the fact your removed peoples ability to do this.

Re: We'll do you proud.....wait, maybe not.

*sigh* Can we let this thread stay on topic for the customer who is trying to get their issue fixed please. I can assure you we haven't deleted customers posts from our Facebook wall.

I am providing feedback, he can chose to ignore it.

@inhost
That's not very reassuring....any suggestions on who should i sign up with then? There is bad feedback about pretty much every company.
@HPSauce
I know BT does, but it's not the first time i see such a clause on a letting contract and a contract has to be respected, so i'd better ask for permission in any case.

In absolutely no way whatsoever is inhost's experience relevant to this topic and is in no way helpful. The recent posts should be moved to their own topic (or just deleted).

Re: We'll do you proud.....wait, maybe not.

@chiso
Were the landlords paying line rental up to the time you took on the property rental? If not there is no way the number can be held.
In respect to inhosts comments - Plusnet do sometimes get things wrong, but they will communicate with you, they are honest about their mistakes, and they will put things right if they can (but it can take time). I see many horror stories on forums like thinkbroadband about other ISPs who are impossible to communicate with when things go wrong.

Re: We'll do you proud.....wait, maybe not.

@chiso indeed, I am just trying to give you a heads up so you dont end up in the same mess as me, essentially plusnet are turning in to BT circa 1995, Sky is a good option, talktalk is a cheaper option, Zen is a good mix between the 2 and better than plusnet even on a bad day.
@jelv as you can see the OP has found benefit from my post so I would ask you to keep it on topic given this is a feedback specific forum, your aggressive fanboy posts should probably be what gets deleted.

Meanwhile...
Just out of interest, can the OP post the precise wording of the clause in the letting agreement regarding the phone line?
