SNRM is Noise Margin by another name.  
DG834GT doesn't show power levels easily, though if you run DMT against it you can see the numbers.
I suspect your extension wiring isn't helping and may be picking up interference.  
Personally I would tackle that first by optimising it, what do the other "advisers" here think?

That is probably because you are running Routerstats Lite (I hope otherwise I am talking rot - mine is a DG834Gv4 which uses the same chipset as the GT)

Hi again I have done that and here is the first picture. The other pages are not showing any graphs but I noticed the timeline is set to 1 hr 23 mins a page where yours seems to be at 15 mins,

The graphs only start when you enable them by ticking each individual box - it doesn't start doing them until you tell it to.
If you click on the funny symbol - top left - looks like a yellow gear wheel that gives you the set up screen
Then click on graphs and you can change the sample period and number of points
This is what mine looks like
Edit - the 15 minutes is measuring the number of error in about a 15 minute interval then plotting it - note the times on the bottom

Those look reasonably OK.
I still stand by my earlier assertion that your extension wiring is probably a significant factor.
How many extensions sockets are there in total and in use?

Sorry to contradict but those results are absolutely terrible and almost certainly explain the poor speeds
Look at this picture - the corrected errors and error seconds are appalling.
I would agree with HPsauce  - your internal wiring is probably causing major problems.
Is there any chance of moving the router next to the master socket and either going wireless or using a long lead from the router to the PC

Not knowing the up-time I didn't  look at the error rates.
Stats from the Test Socket time methinks, awkward though that may be. 
And to think about a filtered faceplate with ADSL take-off.

I have just closed R/S down and reopened it to see if the stats appear and done a shot of the pages for you here, dont know if that would help you?

The up time is actually meaningless unless the later versions of Routerstats do it better - my current up time is showing 1 day 7 hours and it has actually been up since the 2nd of February. What I was comparing was the Reed Solomon and the RS Corrected a 3.5 to 1 ratio is disaster

On that graph you can use the mouse to pull it down to see the top of the spike - just hold the left click and you will see a hand instead of the normal mouse pointer

If it must be done it must be done, I will go into the loft tomorrow morning when I have the day off and set up the router direct to the master socket. Could someone please tell me what statistics I need to report back once I have done that? If needs be, how to get those stats off Router stats.
I have a long lead no problem so I can use that.
Thanks to all who are trying to help me with this, you all have greater knowledge than me I am sure.
What do you mean by a filtered faceplate? There is only 1 ext socket in use in the house for the telephone, nothing else is connected.
