Sales told me regulator no longer allow it because it was unfair.
Surely its competition.
And that's what we want.
Whats the full story. Does it have anything to do with BT's ownership of PN?
Are there any links to the regulator on this issue - I dont believe it.

Looks like Mand's educating tool will be busy tomorrow!

You're right in thinking there's no regulatory requirement regarding contract lengths.
Do you know who you spoke to in our sales team? I'll be speaking to them tomorrow anyway, but that's something I'd like to raise with them personally too if you know.

I know I've made my feelings clear in previous postings, about the contracts.
But I agree, where is phase 2 (I feel theads mentioning this in the past have been ignored).
And why have monthly contracts not been offered?
The only justification for the 18 month ones so far I feel is 'because we can'

@mand - it was an 0845 number and she was a she, or was she?
@be3g - thanks for the link. Butt the bottom line was not to my licking.
@asbodog - dead right. Would have liked a discount or better terms for buying my own router .
@pierre_p - revert to one month is good - better still for customers from day one.
@AV;CEO - LET SALES SELL BBYW. Who's in charge you or BT Retail?
The 18 month value contract looks great. But who jumps into the bath w/o putting a toe or finger in first.
BBYW (broadband your way) 1 month minimum contract was innovative and made a confident statement of commitment to the CUSTOMER (remember them?).
