Why wont PN tell us the truth!

Due to the failure of PN's email service. I have found that several incoming emails to my email account were lost completely. This was brought to my attention by the senders.

Customer Service assured us previously that all emails would be handled without loss when the service was restored.

This brings back memories from 2006 when they messed up big time...

I've been receiving emails, some have clearly been delayed, although I don't know if any have been lost.

Perhaps yours are 'out there' waiting to land?

Maybe they are circling around in Zuckerberg's new metaverse.

Off to take a look. I'll be the one that looks like a Minivan of course. 😉

unfortunately they're not perfect, they're a budget version of BT, owned and run by BT and like BT, not overly phased about customers.

I can only recommend you switch to another provider that has a good reputation for reliability such as yahoo, hotmail, gmail etc. I kinow that doesn't help and it will take you a few months to migrate all of your contacts over but it's better than PN email.

Found ProtonMail pretty good with the free version giving you 500MB of storage space and 150 messages daily limit. Bit more spam than gmail but not enough to bother me that much.

Yup.. @JonoH we do seem to have had at least two or three in general chat today displaying "Newbie".

Does anyone remember TORPC ? He was always harping on about plusnet not telling "the truth". Repeatedly actually. When i confronted him and asked what exactly this truth was that was being kept secret he couldn't actually tell me.

Have found Zoho Mail quite good.

Never really took to PN mail.

So was 2006 the last time that there was a problem with this horrendously unreliable email service?
