I've actually been typing this whilst you replied.
I'll be frank with you but want you to know that I will continue to escalate this and fight your cause here. The needed equipment has not yet been received. I have escalated this even further up the chain of command with our suppliers now and have been promised an update by 5.30PM, I will be out of the office shortly after that time so you will get a further reply around that time.
I'm advised the equipment will be there tomorrow via special delivery, following this your order should complete within 48 hours from that point.

I have what I sincerely hope will be good news,  our suppliers inform me that your order has been put forward for the final frames activity (last stage of manual work to activate a broadband service) today so the order should go through without much more delay.
I will continue to check on this today periodically and will let you know when it does complete.

If Openreach have given today for completion they have until midnight to do the task.

Hi again,
I've no news yet I'm afraid. Let's hope no news is good news! as 'itsme' says BT Wholesale do have up until midnight tomorrow. Your order will be one of the first things on my radar to look at tomorrow morning so I'll let you know more news then, hopefully by that stage though you should be up and running.
With regards to your phone line I'm very surprised to hear that you've been given so little information or urgency on that matter.

Hi Adam
I have spoken to her indoors who says that she thinks it is working and the router is now showing all green lights. Two weeks ago my router was also showing dsl as I explained this morning maybe we should have tried to activate the account then. Anyway I will check fully when I get home at lunchtime and do a few diagnostic checks to see what it comes back with.
