Am new to Plusnet having just transfered from Zen ADSL to Plusnet Fibre.
Just received an email cheerfully informing me that my speed is 40Mbps compared to the "estimated 3Mbps".
Quite what the point is of comparing an estimated ADSL speed with an actual VDSL speed just escapes me. And I'm well aware that the synch speed on my line is actually 56.59Mbps capped because I chose the 40/20 fibre offering and testing at around 38/13.
In any event my actual ADSL synch speed prior to the transfer was around 8Mbps so even that aspect of the email was nonsense.
Plusnet do themeselves no favours in the credibility department when they send out such garbage emails!

This is an issue which we have under investigation at the moment. Sadly, it's not going to be a quick fix.
As you say, it's based on estimates for ADSL rather than VDSL.
