iv had enough  the prob is only when on wireless on cable coonect iplayer reports 6.2 line speed and streaming speed.
but for health and safety i want to be cable free so on wireless im now getting from iplayer

Problem solved
After listening to a load of clap talk from shops  i found this
http://www.speedguide.net ; tcp optimizer.
i d/l it and        this is now what i get from iplayer diaqnostics

I presume the optimiser recommended some changes to you? What did you actually change?

Guess it would be an RWIN problem then, default value via a router far too small for broadband speeds. This problem used to be a recurring theme before Vista and Windows 7 became prevalent. Got out of the habit of asking if the OS is XP these days.
