good news for those who dont get PN e-mails

Quote
Hello,
We've put together a great summer offer for you. If you recommend Plusnet broadband to a friend before 31st August we'll send you up to £100 in vouchers to spend at Dabs.com*.
Of course, you'll still get our normal referral discounts off your bill each month. And there's no limit to the number of people you can recommend, or the number of vouchers you can get.
Take a look at how much you could earn:
Service recommended   Voucher value   Monthly referral discount
Value = £25 + 25p a month
Extra = £50 + 50p a month
Pro = £100 + 50p a month
Simply pass your Plusnet username to anyone you think would benefit from award-winning broadband, and ask them to join us before 31st August. Once they're up and running we'll send your voucher to you.
What's more, your friends will get 3 months' broadband completely free^ if they join before 31st August.
All the best,
Nick Rawlings

Not having received it - thanks for the heads up.
But what on earth were Plusnet thinking about - they will never recoup the cost unless they are getting a massive discount. Who owns Dabs - BT

Hello again,
Our £25 John Lewis voucher offer is ending soon
A quick note to remind you that this special offer is ending on Thursday. So tell your friends and family about Plusnet before midnight on 27th May and grab a £25 John Lewis voucher*. You'll get a voucher for every new customer who signs-up to Plusnet Extra or Plusnet Pro broadband and takes our Home Phone service on your recommendation.
Simply pass your Plusnet username to anyone you think would benefit from award-winning broadband, and ask them to join us before 27th May. And once they've joined us we'll post your voucher to you.
What's more, your friends will get 4 months' broadband completely free^ if they join before 27th May. So you've still got time to earn brownie points as well as your vouchers.
Of course you'll still get our normal referral discounts each month – £1 off your bill every month for anyone who signs up to Plusnet Extra or Pro as well as one of our Home Phone Talk Plans. Because there’s no limit to the number of people you can recommend, or the number of vouchers you can get, we could soon be paying you!
All the best

Get referring and enjoy the vouchers Smiley
P.S. Regarding the topic, only those opted-in to emails are eligible for the offer so if you didn't get the email, you will only get the standard monthly referral bonus and not the one-off voucher.
Edit: Opted-out customers are now eligible, full details below

The thread title needs to be changed then.
This seems unfair to me.  Looks like Plusnet value the customer who signs up to marketing emails much more than them that don't.

Re: good news for those who dont get PN e-mails

The main reason is if you opt-out of notifications then we can't notify you to tell you that you have a voucher!
This won't be the last promotion that we run so if you have opted out then you can opt in here, just click on 'Email Communications Preference' and you'll get future notifications.
Edit: Opted-out customers are now eligible, full details below

There are those of us who are opted in but still don't receive such emails and haven't done for quite some time Cry

What an barmy thing to say - there are perfectly good mechanisms which you could have used to alert somebody to the fact that they had a voucher.
For example; you email folks to tell them that a referral discount has been applied to their account, you could have added a note telling them that they had received a voucher along with a link etc to collect/use it.
Who is running the coloured crayons dept at the moment? Isn't it only recently that they offered a guarantee of speeds rather than an estimate.
I'm not in the market for referring folks to PN, but this really does smack of thoughtlessness.

@Bob yes it is.
Should I have received this email?
I do receive spam notifications.

Hence why pierre_pierre posted this thread. Your are choosing to exclude people. When a person makes a referral you could email them a voucher or something similar. The above reply is very lame .
On something like this, why don't you post this in community news?

Mike

Re: good news for those who dont get PN e-mails

I've just had an update from our Marketing Team, we will now include customers who have opted out.
So any residential customer who refers another residential customer before the offer ends will be notified that they have a voucher.
Customers who received an email (opted in) will be sent the voucher that they were offered.
Customers who did not receive an email (opted out) will be contacted to choose which voucher they want.
