(sorry to hijack this thread but Plusnet seem to be deliberately ignoring my other one now ... as they are with the open ticket too >50 hours)
Chris ... you had my Credit Card details when I signed up ... why wasn't my bill processed using that like everyone else's seems to have been?
I wouldn't be sat here weeks later waiting for my money back then.

If the direct debit goes active before we attempt to take any payment, then that will be the way we take it. We'll only use the credit card if the direct debit isn't active at that time.
I understand you're frustrated but it's less than a week since Mand requested the refund (19th).
