How about this then i have just received an email saying i am going over my broadband allowance, however new customers are being offered unlimited broadband. Why not upgrade everyone as a nice fair thing to do for the existing customer instead of charging me a further £5 for an extra 5GB of usage. Plusnet good honest fair my A""".

There's nothing to stop you changing to Unlimited! Go to http://portal.plus.net/upgrade_process.html?memberheader=upgrade

Personally, I'm happy as it is (having set my "additional spend" to zero and putting up with slow speeds for 4 days in 365 ) - and that's with SamKnows taking 2GB* per month out of the 10GB. If there was no change in costs, of course I would welcome the change (and those on unlimited would expect a cost reduction)
However, I do make use of cron jobs and wget to download in the 00:00 to 08:00 slot
* plus 1GB during the unmetered overnight block

@pwales
Sorry you feel that way.
We're unable to do that unfortunately as it would involve a change to the terms and conditions meaning that customers would need to opt in to new products such as that.

You could, of course, give them the choice ...

It's available to all customers to change to if they wish via our website? We've certainly made no secret of the fact that we're selling unlimited broadband.
