Dear group..........I am sorry if I appear thick....but what is a CSA?   I posted a thank you to two members of Plus Net staff and one of the names was ommited by the moderater MR PULLEN and [mremoved] have been of immense help to me and I wanted the group to be aware that there are members of Plus Net who care about customers....in view of my rants in previous posts....Good luck and God Bless to all Plus Net staff members THEY DO AFTER ALL CARE about customers.thanks to all for listening Barrie g4yjs.

Hi Barrie,
It's against the forum rules to post Customer Support Agent's names so a mod will have removed them. My name will have been left intact because I'm around on the forums a lot more (and am not technically speaking a CSA). The mods also know that I don't mind customers posting my name on public forums Wink
I'll pass on your thanks to the agent whose name was removed though.

Customer Support Agent.
It is against the forum rules to post agents names in forum posts (as linked to by the moderator in your previous posts) as they have no means to respond here - it does not matter whether you are posting positive or negative comments. Bob Pullen is not really a CSA and monitors and responds to forum posts so has the means to reply thus his name can be given.

I believe CSA is an abbreviation of the term Customer Service Agent.
I am pleased you have had your problem resolved by Plusnet.

Dear group.....a general question to you all.Is any of you not able to access your e mail and or web mail account.Due to a problem with the 'new e mail account server'?I have been waiting now since the 2nd October to access my my e mail but the new e mail account server will not accept my user name..I was stated to me that it would take longer to change my user name than to make a fix for the network server..Even though the problem is being attended to personally by one of the Plus Net network team I am getting to the stage of being totally 'pd'off waiting....................SOMEONE  please let me know that I am not alone.with my problem.....cheers to all Barrie g4yjs. Well....  from my angle there's not a problem, which doesn't help you at all. BP picked up your ticket way back on October 16th..  I would have thought that it should have been sorted by now. Having an incomplete service for this length of time is ...  well  ....  incredible! Quite literally.

Sorry it's taking so long Barrie, and sorry I've not had chance to update your support ticket over recent days (I'll do that shortly).
The fix to your problem has been developed and requires rolling to the live platform. Unfortunately we haven't been able to do this as it involves changing code on the live platform and we're in the middle of a development 'freeze' at the moment.
The underlying issue is being caused due to a problem creating some of the more uncommon TLK's or Two Letter Keys to our email storage platform. Originally it was the Webspace code that did this but now that we no longer offer Webspace with our current product offerings, the functionality is now broken. Whilst it's only affecting you Barrie (that we know of), the fix does involve refactoring our codebase i.e. it's not something that can be fixed by simply tweaking or reconfiguring your account.
I would create you a new account with an alternative username but this would be a bit of a nightmare in your case as I would need a developer to move your telephone service to the new account (which puts me in the same predicament as the one mentioned above).
I will keep on pushing for you and if you need an email account in the meantime then I don't mind setting you up a temporary one by registering you for a non-subscription account?

Does this mean that if I want to migrate from a legacy product to Premier, that I can't take my free web space with me? Roll_eyes

Nope. If you upgrade you'll keep the webspace by default, even though it's not offered to new customers on the new accounts.

Hi Barrie, I understand you've already called in today (I spoke to Martin earlier)? I'm sorry to say that the development freeze has resulted in quite a long backlog of problem fixes that need to go via our Quality Assurance teams, and despite my best efforts I'm no closer to getting the fix for your account rolled live.
I have got another idea mind you, I'll update your ticket now with the details...
