Re: plus.net android app

Hmmm...according to user comments I would be a little wary but would be interested in any comments from Plusnet.
The iPhone app I use was written by a Plusnet customer.

The comments there from 'Leviaxxan' were posted by Chris. We stumbled across this too a month or two back but it doesn't seem to be functional/is badly broken. Ashley who created the iPhone app has actually done the same for Android, but the app isn't published to the Market yet. If you want to play around with it and provide some feedback regarding it's functionality, then you can install the .apk directly from my webspace here.

Re: plus.net android app

Hi Bob,
Cheers for the link to the app.

Sorry thread fell of the radar on my system.
I tried the app but I didn't find it that useful for my purposes. I had hoped to be able to use it to log into my account and check bills payments, voip minute total,  and tickets etc.

Re: plus.net android app

I installed the app but was unable to log in.
I'm guessing it's logging into plusnet and I'm on force9 and I can't see anywhere to select a provider.

Re: plus.net android app

Sorry guys, don't see the point of the APP.  I use an android phone, an HTC Hero, and simply access the PN site over the web. save a bookmark - and now it's one  click access. The phone will even save username and password.
Before anyone says about security, I enter the username the first time incorrectly. Minus some letters. It save this incorrect information. next time I go to log on, I simply add the missing info into username before  logging.

Re: plus.net android app

I don't necessarily see the point of quite a few of the available apps Wink
Still it gives us geeky types something else to play with Embarrassed
However I also access PN on my browser.

Re: plus.net android app

The point of an app is that all the relevant details are laid out on a screen format for mobile so it's easy to see. I can also see it on the browser by scrolling all over the place but a simple app with all the details easy to see on the small screen would be useful.

Like the thousands of apps that tell you how fast your battery is running down but don't tell you how much faster your battery is draining because of the app.
