and afaik, adsl2 (up to 20mb) can be used with an unlimited package... (i know cause ive got one..)

Its worth bearing in mind that some of you who may have an unlimited package could be on a legacy package that you've had for a number of years or there is a possibility that you could have been offered this as part of a retention offer in the past.
Unlimited isn't that feasible now unfortunately unless traffic management was carried out to a more severe degree which I doubt people would want to see happen. I would personally believe that anyone using more than 100gb would be in the minority here and that maybe an extra 10 or 20gb  or the option to add these on to an existing package would be more favourable.
