There's a number of users in here who have a pretty good record in helping people people get to the bottom of what's going on with speed/connection problems. Post with some more information and we'll see what we can do to help.

@Rommie2004
What are you seeing low speeds on? Is it downloads or general web browsing?

I am also getting slow speeds on downloads, trying to download exchange trial from microsoft and is coming down at 9.77KB/sec and going to take 21 hours !. My connection is fine and the plusnet speed test reports 5725 kbps. Have disconnected a few times but made no difference. On old premier option 1 account so should not have any restrictions untill 1600. Any one know whats causing this as it s affecting downloads, usenet and streaming which is constantly buffering.

How much have you downloaded so far this month?
It might be worth trying to swap to a different gateway as some are looking worse than others at the moment.

Hi Jelv
Have downloaded 7.41 GB which is well within my limit of 20GB and restrictions only kick in at 13GB and then only after 1600 to midnight for the premier option 1 account so it shouldnt be that. Wanted to get my download done before I hit my peak time at 1600 but its not going to happen at this speed.

Have you checked your gateway?
PTE-AG1 and THN-AG1 are looking pretty rough at the moment.
NB These are links to the live graph and so may look rather different to the time of posting if you are reading this post in 2010.
Edit: pcl-ag03 which I'm on at the moment looks like a good one to be on!

Thanks Jelv
Just disconnected and reconnected twice more and moved from thn-ag1 to pte-ag2 and the download is now running at 406KB/sec which is alot better. Looks like there is some problems on the other gateways?
Thanks for your help.
