Re: still waiting

Unfortunately Fibre DSL seems quite aggressive and could be responding to varying interference/noise conditions on your line, worth checking for audible noise though. Can you hear/have you heard any crackling or other noises on the line when using the phone? Have you had any problems with incoming or outgoing calls? If need be, do a quiet line test, 17070 option 2.

Re: still waiting

Do you mean your Current Line speed (Login required) setting, it would probably have been the same as the last low BT IP Profile.

Re: still waiting

no the BTOR guy has said it looks like the line is being capped at PNs side and the BT IP Profile is the same

Re: still waiting

Then I suspect that's rubbish - it's the BT IP Profile that determines what the Current Line Speed is (when the uodates eventually happen). The DSLAM DLM in the Cab will determine what the Line profile is which will limit the maximum (& minimum) IP Profiles that could be achieved. That can only be reset by OR at the Cab. Plusnet will have to look the current profiling as well as at the engineer's report if the OR guy has left and not reset the Profile at the Cab..
Log in to the Modem/Router, in the Internet box, click Disconnect to drop the PPP Internet session (this is not the sync), wait 30 seconds then click Connect. This should ensure the relevant servers are updated with the current sync speeds then run the BTw Performance test (ignore the red preamble except make sure no other programs are using the Internet) and at the end of the first run, click the Further Diagnostics button, enter just your Phone number and Run the Further Diagnostics Test.
That will give you the current BT IP Profile.

Re: still waiting

Your profile is currently set correctly on our systems, we'lll need to see the engineer notes and go from there.

Re: still waiting

this is my ip profile as of 1 min ago:
1. Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.

Download Speed
28.41 Mbps

0 Mbps 29.68 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed

Download speedachieved during the test was - 28.41 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis  16 Mbps-29.68 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 29.68 Mbps
2. Upstream Test:  -provides background information.

Upload Speed
8.52 Mbps

0 Mbps 20 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 8.52Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps

This is less than it was before so what is my ip profile suppose to be as keep getting mixed messages from both sides. The engineer said this morning we should be getting close to what was quoted and the speed as more than likely been capped, this was after he re-set the dlm at the home not cabinet.

Re: still waiting

Well obviously he's got the ability to reset DLM and that's what he may have done unless it was just a resync that was needed. Obviously that's been reflected in a new sync rate and BT IP Profile. But a few posts back you did mention a problem with the cable which you said OR were going to replace - so until that is done I wouldn't think things would improve too much, more likely get worse - so what's the situation with the cable?
