A&A VOIP hitch

Just joined A&A VOIP after upgrading to Plusnet FTTP. With the help of the guide notes from Tettin and Calmcurious I am setting up my Grandstream HT802 and my Panasonic DECT phones. I updated the ATA firmware to 1.0.59.3 and put in my A&A account details but I cannot make or receive calls. When I ring another number from the Panasonic I get an engaged tone and when I use my mobile to ring the Panasonic I also get an engaged tone. Any suggestions?
I have adjusted the expiry settings, set IP Protocol to IP4only and set the time zone to GMT. NAT transversal is set at keep alive.

Re: A&A VOIP hitch

Does the ht802 show registered ? and does it show as registered if you login to the A & A control panel ?

@MisterW

Porting of my number from BT was completed four days ago and it's registered on the A&A control page. But the blue phone light on the Grandstream is off. It comes on only when I try to make a call. Should it always be on if my phone is registered? Both the power and Internet lights are always on.

@outcast

Thanks for that.

Re: A&A VOIP hitch

Fix

@redsox9 have you created a voip password on your  A & A account ? see here https://support.aa.net.uk/VoIP_Password

IIRC initially it appears as though a password is there BUT you need to generate one before it will activate. You need to then change the authentication password details on the ht802 to the new one.

Re: A&A VOIP hitch

@MisterW

Generating a new password to activate sorted it.

@outcast

The HT802 phone light is now solid blue and showing registered.

Many thanks to you both on a bright Sunday morning.
