Blocking gambling sites.

Anyone know if there is any way to block gambling sites from Plusnets end OR via my user account dashboard?
If not then any easy way to nobble a Windows 7 machine running IE 11 to block gambling but still allow access to Faceache?

Re: Blocking gambling sites.

That would depend on what router you had I guess, but you could edit the Windows 7 host file and have it redirect the URLs to either local host or some other site.

But this approach is only as smart as the user using the Win 7 machine, so if they have any tech sense then it might not be enough. Your best bet, no pun intended, is to block it at the firewall so request never exit the building.

Hi
PlusNet Safeguard should give you what you want.

Cheers for all the ideas  Smiley
The Plusnet Safeguard looks interesting, do you have to use the Plusnet supplied router for it to work or is it blocking at Plusnets end?
Ive just turned it on remotely via my phone at work & set it to block gambling sites, ill have test of it later when I get home & back on my WiFi.

Re: Blocking gambling sites.

it uses DNS filtering, so as long as your devices are using PNs DNS then it should block it..
